Powder coating is a dry paint that contains no solvents. It is applied through an electrostatic gun, the powder particles being electronically charged at the gun head actually attracts to the articles to be coated which are earthed.
Once the articles are coated, they are placed into an over and headed to a temperature of 180-200°C for 8-10 minutes. The powder melts into a continuos film and reacts to form a tough resistant coating.
